Living in Hampton Roads, there are an enormous variety of events here every week. Our beaches and venues attract many conferences and corporate meetings, and due to the local military bases, the government events and ceremonies seem almost limitless.
Whether it’s a high-stakes corporate gala, an intimate brand launch, or a military retirement, the real magic of an event lives in the candid moments. The good laughs, the focused intensity of a keynote speaker, or the quiet side-conversations between old friends.
Gonna be an orange Olympics
Events are notorious for tricky lighting. Dimly lit ballrooms, harsh midday sun at an outdoor mixer, or chaotic disco lights on a dance floor can wreak havoc on the unseasoned camera user. This is when it's actually important to have not just the experience of hundreds of events, but the low-light gear that prevents muddy or blurry photos, external flashes to create natural-looking light where there is none, and fast lenses to blur out distracting backgrounds and keep the focus on the people.
