It certainly hasn't been easy for the graduating class of 2020. Here in Virginia Beach, and all over, the final weeks of classes and entire graduate ceremonies have been cancelled.

2020 has been the year of finding other ways to communicate, create, and celebrate.

Each generation finds their way of adapting to the challenges put in front of them. I anticipate this graduating class to be remarkably resourceful and innovative - not because they want to, but because they need to.

In they end though, this will make them stronger and more resilient, teaching them skills they will find quite useful. Perhaps just a bit earlier in life than intended.
